the Sites......
Below are the main sites. If they posted a mission statement, it is in
quotes. You can judge for yourself if that is their real mission.
| American Homeowner's Resource Center (AHRC) "To
help preserve, strengthen, and enrich the American home, AHRC has developed the
following interactive websites to address the spiritual, educational, financial,
legal, psychological and artistic forces which shape peoples' homes and lives.

| Stop HOA Foreclosures "We are organized to mobilize
homeowners, property owners across the country to support and protect their
property rights
and produce various beneficial projects, products and services for homeowners.
We testify on behalf of homeowners at
hearings in Austin, every session, to make, change, and encourage good laws for
homeowners that do not violate our Constitution.
Currently there is a violation of Articles 16, Section 50 of the Texas
Constitution via homeowner association foreclosures for
non-payment of maintenance fees. This foreclosure practice must stop. Please
join us in our fight to save our Constitutional rights."

Citizen's for Constitutional Local Governments and HOA Primer
"To inform the public (a) of the private government nature of HOAs and their
governing bodies, the homeowners association; (b) of the restrictions on
homeowners’ civil liberties and; (c) of the lack of effective enforcement of
state laws and the governing documents under the “private contract”
interpretation of HOAs;
To change existing state and federal statutes to (a) restore democratic
principles of government to existing homeowners associations and (b) replace the
“private contract” interpretation of CC&Rs with a declaration that HOAs are
civil governments subject to the laws of the land;
To seek the declaration and revision of the legal status of planned
communities to that of a local governmental entity, after the developer is
required to turn over control of the HOA to its members; and
To foster and promote grassroots lobbying efforts consistent with achieving
the goals stated in (1) – (3) above."

On the Commons "Join us as we explore the world of
common ownership developments, which is the fastest growing form of residential
development in America today. This housing concept includes condominiums,
cooperatives, and both attached and detached single-family homes that are part
of a mandatory homeowners association. Unfortunately this type of housing is not
as Utopian as its advocates would have us believe. Living in a mandatory
homeowners’ association means giving up a part of the American dream. It means
giving up Constitutional rights and control over one’s most valuable asset -
one’s home. Living in a mandatory homeowners’ association means
leaving the American Zone."
